Welcome Message
On behalf of Cracow University of Technology (CUT), it is a great pleasure to invite you to the 16th International Symposium on Human-Induced Vibrations and Seismic Influences on Structures to be held in Krakow, Poland, on 15-18 May 2024. The Chair of Structural Mechanics and Materials of the Civil Engineering Faculty (Cracow University of Technology) in cooperation with the Committee on Civil Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Group of Seismic and Paraseismic Engineering are the joint organisers of the Symposium.
For the first time, in cooperation with Extrica, our conference will take place in a hybrid mode. In addition to the standard problem-solving sessions, during the conference online sessions will be organized for all participants who, for any reason, will not be able to attend in person. We hope that this will allow us to meet with an even larger group, resulting in an even richer exchange of engineering and scientific experiences.
The main objective of the Symposium is to bring together, on a common platform, researchers and engineers who direct their expertise towardsinfluences of natural and human-induced seismicity as well as influences of traffic in the context of civil engineering.
We anticipatethat the 16th International Symposium on Human-Induced Vibrations and Seismic Influences on Structures will have a significant impact on the development of contemporary analytical, numerical and experimental methods in natural and human induced seismicity in civil engineering problems. This event will also create an opportunity to open a forum for discussion and collaboration amongst the participants.
